You come into Nalut while travelling along the road getting to Ghadamès from the north. You can reach Nalut after a steep slope and, for the fact of being on the top of an upland, it becomes an unavoidable stage for the summer traveller in search of a cool resting night place. The ancient town is about 300 years old. Inside the town walls you can visit an old mosque and the wheat and oil warehouses.
